“I Write Like” Who? Interesting.

Hello Reeders. I must say that I miss talking, well, writing to you all every day. I really wish I had the mind and thought to do so. I even realized AGAIN that I finished my outline for Little Schiz. I mean, that’s a big deal! Isn’t it? I mean, come on, I should be way more excited.

Then I realized, I AM!

…but just too busy to talk about it how much. But the next steps are on my mind every day at least. So, what’s the next step? Well, I realized that now that I have the skeleton down for outline, I get to add the good stuff. Meaning, all the crazy, insane and “wtf” moments that I think will really add to the story. I already thought of one today that I need to add.

Other than that, I am keeping up with my daily doses of amusement and inspirations on Writers Write. They had a very interesting tool that they added for us writers. Basically, you copy and paste a chunk of your text into their program and it tells you who you write like. I was very interested to see what it came up with AND, of course, if it was true. I put in pieces of both of my single novels, and I was excited to research that they actually do have a similar tone to what these authors write…

“Is It Possible to be a Little Schizophrenic?”

I write like Chuck Palahniuk

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

“I Brought Home A Ghost”

I write like Anne Rice

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

I hope that my tone for both stories continue throughout to keep the same feeling they have both started with. Since the parts that I let the program analyze were both the beginnings of my stories, I have a good starting point.

What about you writers out there? Who do you write like?

Enjoy. And Write.
