Summer is here in T-minus one week. The summer solstice will bring about fun in the sun, bathing suits, the need for tans (in some cases such as my own), plenty of burns (again, in my case), water play, beach time, BBQs…or as Wikipedia says…
“The summer solstice occurs when the tilt of a planet’s semi-axis, in either the northern or the southern hemisphere, is most inclined toward the star (sun) that it orbits. Earth’s maximum axial tilt toward the sun is 23° 26′. This happens twice each year, at which times the sun reaches its highest position in the sky as seen from the north or the south pole.”
In honor of the wonderful season that is coming, I have taken new pictures of the incredible lake I am happy to live next to.
I didn’t touch up any of these pictures; they are exactly as they came into my iPhone. So beautiful…
Oh, and just letting everyone know: I have an announcement about writing. It’s coming soon.
Lake Panamoka: Ready for Summer
A beautiful, fresh, clean and warm view of the lake.
Close up of Lake Panamoka. You can smell the fresh and clear air.
We’ve had so much rain lately, the water is much higher than usual.
We can usually walk to the fourth stone without touching water.
The lily pads are in full force.
You can see the little flowers on the lily pads ready to bud soon enough.
Some sweet flowers on the side of the lake.
How are you all celebrating summer? Any trips, places, wanderings you want to share?
Enjoy. And Reed.
