I’ve Taken On The Crazy: Camp NaNoWriMo Here I Come

I am leaving in 11 days for Camp NaNoWriMo!

Okay, so I’m not actually going anywhere, but I have officially taken on Camp NaNoWriMo. Some of you may remember the incredible 30 days in November? That’s just regular ‘ol NaNoWriMo. Well, Camp NaNo is pretty much the same thing, but you have the option to choose your word count.

Something else about Camp NaNo that is different. Instead of a local forum to go and talk with other writers, you can be a part of cabins with other writers from all over. There are up to 8 people in a cabin, so it’s really like going to camp. Lots of support from the small little group sounds like an awesome idea.

My goal is half the usual amount, so 25k, which translates to 807 words a day. I made this decision because…

I WANT TO FINISH A NOVEL

I calculated another 10 chapters, including the Epilogue to write. That breaks it down to 2,500 words per chapter. I can do this. I Brought Home a Ghost is as good as done already…

Sure, it’s right in the middle of me moving, two huge productions, growing a business and working two people’s jobs because we lost someone….But, I want to finish it, and I believe I can.

So, what do you think? You with me? Excited? Ready for a finished novel from Eon Reed? I sure the hell am.

Camp NaNoWriMo

Woooo! And Reed.
