Blocked Roads and Such…

Oftentimes we have to give up pieces of our lives in search of a better way to live our life. The more time we put into our lives to fix the pieces that are running askew, the better our lives will turn out to be…and then, we can go back to do everything we wanted to do in the first place.

Aside from a share on Book Lovers Day, I haven’t written anything new and unique for a long while…about a month. I have been needing a beautiful, comfortable, lovely, earthly, space to call my own creativity, and I am happy to say that I am almost done creating, cleaning, marking, spacing, unpacking it.

A new space that makes me feel…

A most wonderful surprise was given to me by my lovey months ago…a wooden, double-layered, slightly-loved writing desk…

Some women want flowers… Others want shinies… I, on the other hand, cried at the beauty of this gift he saved for me. No one has ever given me something more beautiful…

It is in a perfect spot–in the corner, beside a window–and almost ready to be filled with my creatives. My painting, my drawing, my writing, my living through creative will be done in my little corner of wonderful.

When we moved into our new home, we both bought gifts for the house. He got a BBQ for the backyard, and I went for something beautifully simple…a lamp for my desk, decorated with a metal vine and flower design. It is so cute!…..Everything is officially unpacked, now to only put it away.

Once everything has been placed in its rightful and permanent place, the roadblocks will be circumvented…the stresses will relax…and the creativity shall continue…

As soon as my space is complete, I will post pictures of the beautiful desk. I am hoping it will be ready by this weekend.

I need to paint.

I need to write.

I need to draw.

I need to be creative…

I’m kinda twi–twitchin’…

  1. A twitching artist… seems normal. I can find myself obsessing over my work-spaces from time to time. Our region recently got a lot of flooding, mostly a little west of us, and my office had water leak in and cover half the floor (it’s in our basement). Currently we are toying with what to do with the room… we have a lot of carpet in there that is pretty well ruined. Not sure about the electronics yet… had our editing system in there, so I’m hoping for the best.

But that being said, I’ve primarily been doing my writing out of our bedroom as of late. We have a glider and footstool in our bedroom, and it makes a nice place to sit and write. I’ll be waiting to see your nook.
