Ending the story

So, considering I have never finished a novel/book before, this NaNoWriMo is going to mean a lot for me since it looks like I will actually complete one!

That's huge!

….but since I've never finished a novel, I've never looked into the future of my novel and guesstimated how much was left…..

Well, it seems I may finish the book (yay)…but BEFORE 50k words (boo).

Such a cruel world!
How could you muse???

Okay, now that that's done.

I have parts I know that I want to add to my story anyway, so if need be, I will be reliving sections and adding pieces if I should be correct in my estimations.

  1. That happened to me, too – been creating after story FAQ like things between one of the mentors in the story and the full cast of 7 main characters. It's a little slow, but it's words, and definitely gives back story and detail for future revisions 🙂

  2. I have the same issue as well.  Aside from a few tiny bits, I have the first draft done.  With 12000 words to go for the month.  Between exhaustion and being so close to the end, I've decided to calm down and plug the holes rather than force words I don't want to write.
